TRANSFER / REFUND / SWITCH / MEDICAL DEFERMENT POLICIES

Race Entry Fees are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable (i.e., race entry fees will not be refunded and registered participants cannot transfer their race entry to another person).   

Requests to switch races
Participants may switch from the marathon to the half or the half to the marathon provided space is available.  To request a switch, send your first and last name, address you registered with, the race you registered for, and email address to registration@mohawkhudsonmarathon.com. 

Opt-Out Policy
New this year:  Participants who have registered for either race but are unable to run or walk for any reason, including medical or injury-related reasons, may chose to “opt out” of participating in this years’ race by notifying race organizers at registration@mohawkhudsonmarathon.com.

Please provide your first and last name, address you registered with, the race you registered for, and email address with your request. 

Those who “opt out” will receive a $20 credit toward next year’s race. 

Requests to “opt out” must be made on or before August 31st.

MEDICAL DEFERMENT
Runners/walkers who are injured and unable to participate in the 2011 race may request a medical deferment to the 2012 race.  The deferment is good for one year only. A letter from your physician stating that you are medically unable to run the race in October must accompany your medical deferment request. All requests must be received before October 8, 2011. 

A medical deferment will entitle you to a guaranteed spot and a reduced registration fee of $30 for the 2012 marathon and $20 for the 2012 half marathon provided that the registration is received before June 30, 2012.
